Starting 1 July 2025, Denmark will allow third-country nationals to obtain residence permits to pursue part-time master’s degrees while working, under a new scheme that links education with labor market experience. Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Individuals can apply for a residence permit to pursue a part-time master’s degree while working in Denmark.
- To qualify, applicants must hold a valid part-time employment contract with a Danish employer, averaging up to 112.5 hours per month.
- The scheme strengthens the link between education and labor market needs by helping students gain practical experience during their studies.
This update supports talent development and smooth transition from study to work in Denmark.
