Denmark Fee Refunds Offered for Closed Cases

  • Denmark offers relief to first‑time applicants with closed cases, letting them reopen applications and recover fees

First Time Visa Applicants with Closed Cases Fee Refunds  

On 14 November 2025, Denmark announced that, in certain cases involving first‑time residence permit applications that were closed without processing, applicants can now: 

  • Request to have their case resumed 
  • Receive a refund of the application fee 

This applies only to first‑time applications, not extensions or renewals. Applicants must follow SIRI’s instructions to confirm eligibility and submit a request.
