Australia Expands Immi App

Key Point

  • Australia has expanded its Immi App to 10 additional countries, enabling faster and more convenient biometric visa processing via smartphone

Biometric Submission Upgrade

Australia has expanded the use of its Immi App to 10 additional countries as of 30 September 2025. This expansion enables eligible visa applicants who have previously provided fingerprint biometrics to submit passport details and facial biometrics directly via smartphone. This expansion streamlines the visa process by eliminating the need to visit biometric collection centers, reducing costs and accelerating processing times.

Looking Ahead

With nearly 30,000 users since its 2024 launch, the app is now available in 15 locations, with full global rollout expected by early 2026.
