Vietnam Updates Visa Policy with Resolution 229 and Decree 221

Vietnam will implement two major visa changes starting 15 August 2025.

Under Resolution No. 229, nationals from 12 additional European countries, including Belgium, Croatia and Switzerland, will be eligible for visa-free entry for up to 45 days, expanding Vietnam’s tourism reach.
