Singapore Announced ONE Pass Track for AI and Tech Talent

ONE Pass for Singapore
Singapore will introduce a new ONE Pass (AI & Tech) track in January 2027, replacing the existing TechPass. The new track is designed to attract top global talent in artificial intelligence and advanced technology fields.
According to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the updated framework will include refined eligibility criteria to better identify frontier innovators and senior technical leaders.
Eligibility Criteria for ONE Pass (AI and Tech) Track
Company‑Level Criteria
| Parameter | Criteria |
| Scope of Work | Applicant’s current or most recent role must be in one of the following:
1) A tech company; 2) A tech division within a company; or 3) A tech venture capital firm. |
| Value of Company | The company must meet at least one of the following:
• Valuation or market capitalization of US$500 million or more • Annual revenue of US$200 million or more • US$500 million or more in assets under management.
Tech companies that have raised at least US$30 million in funding also qualify. |
Individual‑Level Criteria
| Parameter | Criteria |
| Qualifying Salary | Applicant must earn at least S$30,000 per month for 12 consecutive months before applying. This may include: 1) Last‑drawn fixed monthly salary of at least S$22,500, and 2) Vested non‑cash components (e.g., ESOP/ESOW), subject to assessment. |
| Experience | Applicant must have at least five cumulative years of experience in: 1) A founder or C‑suite role, or
2) A technical role (e.g., Senior Software Engineer).
Experience must be within the past 10 years from the date of application. |
Additional Information
The new ONE Pass (AI & Tech) criteria will apply to new applications beginning January 2027 and to renewals starting January 2028.
MOM has also indicated that the S Pass qualifying salary is expected to increase gradually to S$4,000–S$4,500 by 2030, reflecting broader labor market adjustments.
