Peru Introduces Visa Waivers for Nationals of Japan and Qatar

Japan’s Visa Waiver Program
Peru will implement new visa exemptions for business and tourism travelers from Japan and Qatar.
- As of 1 July 2025, nationals of Japan traveling for business purposes may enter Peru without a prior consular visa. The permitted stay is up to 183 days over the course of one year, whether in a single visit or multiple entries.
- As of 4 July 2025, nationals of Qatar holding an ordinary passport valid for at least six months are also exempt from consular visa requirements for tourism travel. The same 183-day stay limit applies across a 12-month period.
