New Zealand to Conduct Pacific Access and Samoan Quota Ballots
- New Zealand held the Pacific Access Category and Samoan Quota ballots on 21 May 2025 to select eligible applicants for residence, with results posted by 30 May 2025
Residence Opportunities for Pacific Applicants
New Zealand conducted the annual Pacific Access Category (PAC) and Samoan Quota (SQ) ballots on 21 May 2025, providing a pathway to residence for citizens of Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Kiribati and Tuvalu. Officials announced successful applicants on 30 May 2025 and sent invitations to apply for residence thereafter.
A new income threshold of NZD $54,133.04 per annum for applicants with dependent children will take effect from 1 June 2025. Selected applicants must submit their residency applications within eight months of receiving an invitation.
