Starting 16 October 2025, Immigration New Zealand will introduce a new, more secure payment system for visa applications. The upgrade includes stronger fraud protection, enhanced data security and improved user experience for applicants paying online. 

Key improvements include: 

  • Stronger fraud safeguards: The new system uses advanced encryption and security protocols to protect personal and financial data during transactions. 
  • Simplified checkout process: Applicants will no longer need to log in with RealMe to complete payments, making the process faster and more user-friendly. 
  • Modern payment interface: The updated platform offers a cleaner design and improved functionality across devices, including mobile.
