Montenegro Suspends Visa-Free Travel for Turkish Citizens

  • Starting 1 November 2025, Montenegro has temporarily suspended its visa-free regime for citizens of Türkiye 

Montenegro Visa-Free Travel Rules  

Montenegro announced that, as of 1 November 2025, Turkish nationals will no longer be able to enter Montenegro without a visa. The decision temporarily halts the visa-free arrangement that previously allowed Turkish citizens to visit for short stays without prior authorization.  

Officials said they made the move to strengthen border control and better manage migration flows. They emphasized that the measure is temporary.

Turkish travelers now need to apply for a visa before entering Montenegro and the government advises checking with consular offices for updated requirements.
