The government of Latvia will suspend the operation of its border cross points in Vientuli and Pededze with Russia beginning 16 October 2023. According to the government announcement, these changes are a response to Russia’s decision to allow holders of Ukrainian passports to enter Russia from third countries only through two border crossing points. 

What are the Changes?  

The Latvian government will suspend the operation of two border entry points with Russia beginning 16 October 2023 as a result of security concerns.
