European Union: New Measures for Nationals of Kuwait

  • On 8 September 2023, the European Commission introduced new rules for nationals of Kuwait holding Schengen multiple entry visas 

Overview  

The European Commission introduced new rules for nationals of Kuwait who have been issued Schengen multiple-entry visas. As a result, nationals of Kuwait are now eligible for multiple-entry visas with a maximum validity period of five years, if the passport validity allows.  

Where the validity of the visa exceeds that of the passport, a multiple-entry visa shall be issued with a period of validity ending three months before the expiry date of the passport.   

What are the Changes?  

On 8 September 2023, the European Commission introduced new rules for nationals of Kuwait holding Schengen multiple entry visas. According to the announcement, this change is a testament to the EU’s strong belief that Kuwait is an important partner for the EU.
