Denmark: New Income Requirements for 2023

Overview  

The government of Denmark will introduce new minimum income requirements for all residence and work permit applications submitted from 1 October 2023. Any applicants who applied for a residence and work permit between 1 August 2023 and 30 September 2023 will be evaluated by the income requirements of the first quarter of 2023.  

What are the Changes?  

The Danish government will increase the country’s minimum income requirements. As a result, all residence and work permit applicants must meet these new requirements beginning 1 October 2023.  

Looking Ahead  

The government stated that the next update to income requirements will take effect on 1 January 2024.
