Starting in January 2026, Denmark will roll out a new immigration scheme that makes it easier for certified companies to hire international workers from 16 select countries, including the U.S., India and Brazil, for roles covered by collective agreements. The scheme permits the following:
- Certified companies can hire skilled and unskilled full-time employees earning at least DKK 300,000 per year
- Eligible roles must be included in a Danish collective bargaining agreement
- Qualified foreign nationals may receive three-year renewable permits and quick job start authorization
To qualify, companies must:
- Be certified by SIRI (valid for three years, renewable)
- Employ at least 10 full-time workers and meet compliance criteria
- Pay salaries through a Danish bank account and avoid past labor law violations
- Offer jobs covered by a recognized Danish labor agreement
- Notify unions of all hires and ensure oversight access
