Cayman Islands WORC Portal Updated Submission Requirements
Key Point
- The Cayman Islands will require detailed job ads and feedback for Caymanian applicants on WORC’s portal starting 1 November 2025
Cayman Islands WORC Portal
The Cayman Islands introduced new requirements for its online portal to enhance the efficiency, accuracy and compliance of immigration-related applications. These changes will take effect on 1 November 2025.
Key Requirements for Employers:
- Expanded Advertising Mandate: Employers must advertise all job postings, including part-time roles tied to annual work permits, on the WORC Online Portal for at least 14 consecutive days, unless specifically exempt (e.g., domestic helpers, caregivers, pastors/ministers or positions granted a waiver).
- Detailed Job Postings: Advertisements must now include comprehensive information:
- Job title and duties
- Required qualifications
- Salary and all benefits
- Work hours and job type
- Location and any special conditions or requirements
- Caymanian Applicant Tracking and Feedback: Employers must log the outcome of each Caymanian application in the portal. If an employer does not hire a Caymanian, it must provide structured feedback. If they move forward with a work permit application, it must also submit mandatory supporting documentation.
According to the government, these updates aim to reduce processing delays and minimize administrative follow-ups.
