Canada/India: Resumption of eVisa Services

Overview  

On 22 November 2023, the Consulate General of India in Ontario announced the resumption of e-visa services for all eligible Canadian citizens holding a Canadian passport. Applicants who do not hold a valid Canadian passport will be required to submit a paper visa application form.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of India restored eVisa services for Canadian citizens holding ordinary Canadian passports on 22 November 2023. This service was temporarily unavailable due to diminished diplomatic relations.
