Dubai AI Immigration Corridor
The United Arab Emirates has launched a groundbreaking AI-powered passenger corridor at Dubai International Airport (DXB), enabling travelers to bypass traditional immigration procedures entirely. As part of the “Travel Without Borders” initiative, the corridor uses facial recognition and pre-registered biometric data to verify identities in as little as 14 seconds, eliminating the need for passports, smart gates, or manual checks.
The system, currently available in Terminal 3’s First and Business Class lounges, allows up to 10 passengers to pass through simultaneously by simply walking along a designated path. Artificial intelligence confirms traveler identities before they reach any checkpoint, while anomalies are flagged for expert review.
