Thailand Launches e-Work Permit Platform
Key Point
- Thailand launched a new e-Work Permit Platform on 13 October 2025 as part of its effort to shift towards a digital immigration process
e-Work Permit Platform Launched
Effective 13 October 2025, Thailand officially launched its new e-Work Permit Platform, transitioning to fully digital processing for new work permit applications and related submissions. Thailand’s immigration authorities will continue to accept paper-based renewals through 31 December 2025.
Current Implementation Status
The platform is live; however, technical issues have impacted account registration. The Employment Department is actively working to resolve these challenges.
Required Registration Steps for e-Work Permit Applications
Step 1: Employer Account Setup
- Employers must register using the email address of the company’s authorized director.
- The system sends a one-time verification code to the applicant’s email to complete the registration process.
Step 2: Agent Authorization
- The company must designate LACL as the authorized agent for e-Work Permit procedures.
- Once LACL receives the company’s account credentials, it can complete this step independently.
Step 3: Employee Account Registration
- Each employee must register for their own e-Work Permit account to proceed with submitting their application.
