Saudi Arabia Expands Saudization in Healthcare and Tourism

  • Saudi Arabia will increase Saudization rates in private-sector healthcare and tourism roles, with phased implementation beginning in 2025 and 2026 

Gradual Implementation of Saudization Policies 

Saudi Arabia announced measures to boost Saudization in the private healthcare and tourism sectors. In healthcare, Saudization rates will increase across four professions starting 17 April 2025, with a second phase beginning 17 October 2025. The tourism sector will see localization of 41 roles, implemented in three phases between 2026 and 2028. Employers must adhere to new regulations to avoid penalties.
