Nigeria Launches Online Platform for Temporary Work Permit Applications
Key Point
- Nigeria has launched a digital platform for Temporary Work Permit applications, enabling online submission, payment and visa linkage prior to travel
Temporary Work Permit Platform
Nigeria introduced a new digital system for Temporary Work Permit (TWP) applications, allowing employers and foreign nationals to submit applications and complete payments online prior to travel.
This system electronically links the TWP to the applicant’s entry visa. It eliminates the need for in-country submission and physical passport endorsements.
This shift modernizes Nigeria’s immigration procedures by allowing out-of-country applicants and sponsoring employers greater flexibility and efficiency. For the first time, applicants can submit TWP applications from outside Nigeria, and the online platform enables real-time status tracking.
