New Zealand Redesigns Job Check Process for Accredited Employer Work Visa

Redesign of Accredited Employer Work Visa Job Check From
Starting 29 September 2025, New Zealand will introduce a new job check form with updated immigration requirements. The redesign aims to make the process more intuitive for employers and immigration professionals.
Key improvements include:
- Clearer guidance throughout the form
- Built-in checks to ensure complete submissions
- Streamlined sections aligned with updated policy
Authorities will now ask employers to provide additional context upfront, including:
- Business size
- Number of New Zealanders employed
- Justification for the role
These changes aim to reduce follow-up requests and support faster decision-making.
Transition Details
- Draft job check applications in the current system must be submitted by 8:00 a.m. (NZT) on 28 September 2025
- Unsubmitted drafts will not carry over to the new portal
- Updated guidance materials will be available to support the transition
