  • New Zealand’s new Parent Boost Visa allows parents of citizens and residents to stay for up to ten years

Parent Boost Visa Requirements

New Zealand introduced the Parent Boost Visa, a long-term visitor visa designed to help reunite families while attracting skilled migrants. This multiple-entry visa allows parents of New Zealand citizens and residents to stay for up to five years, with the option to extend their stay to ten years if they meet eligibility requirements.

While not a pathway to residence, it enables meaningful family connections without burdening public services. Sponsorship, financial criteria and health insurance requirements apply. For those seeking permanent residency, the Parent Resident Visa remains available. To learn more about eligibility requirements, check here
