Mexico: Reinstatement of Online Visa Appointments

Overview  

The government of Mexico reinstated the National Immigration Institute’s (INM) online appointment system on 17 September 2024, after a two-and-a-half-year pause.  

Foreign nationals and employers must use the system to schedule appointments for 18 types of immigration applications, including post-arrival registrations, residence renewals, and family visas. The system aims to reduce waiting times at INM offices, though appointment backlogs may occur initially due to high demand
