Germany: Online Application Portal for Frankfurt Immigration Office

Overview  

The government of Germany launched a new online application portal at the Frankfurt Immigration office. The portal supports over 110 types of immigration forms. Some of these forms include: 

  • Residence permits; 
  • Work permits; 
  • Family reunification;
  • Cancellation documents; and
  • Health submission documents.  

The portal will also allow applicants to submit forms electronically, where previously applicants were required to submit forms in person or via email.  

What are the Changes?  

The German immigration office in Frankfurt launched a new online portal for submitting certain immigration document types electronically. According to the government, these measures aim to reduce backlogs throughout the immigration process.
