EB-5 Unreserved Visa Cap Reached for FY 2025

  • The U.S. State Department announced that it has issued all EB-5 unreserved immigrant visas for fiscal year 2025 and will halt further approvals until the new fiscal year begins on October 1, 2025

EB-5 Unreserved Visa Category Reaches Annual Limit for FY 2025 

As of September 16, 2025, the U.S. Department of State has announced that all available immigrant visas in the Employment-Based Fifth Preference (EB-5) unreserved category have been issued for fiscal year 2025. 

Key Details:

  • The EB-5 unreserved category includes visa types such as C5, T5, I5, R5, RU and NU. 
  • The annual limit includes unused reserved visas from FY 2023, made available under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022. 
  • U.S. embassies and consulates will stop issuing visas in these categories until the new fiscal year begins on October 1, 2025, when limits reset.
