Poland Announces Full Border Closure with Belarus

Poland Border Closure Alert 

Poland will fully close its border with Belarus starting the night of 11 September to 12 September 2025. This measure will suspend all road, rail and pedestrian traffic between the two countries.  

Previously, Poland had imposed partial restrictions, such as closing select crossings or limiting freight movement. However, this marks the first instance of a total border shutdown. The Polish government has not specified how long the closure will last, but officials have indicated it is temporary and directly linked to ongoing Russian-Belarusian military exercises near the Polish border.
